RAJIV GANDHI HEALTH VARSITY TO BE SHIFTED TO RAMNAGAR
The State Government has decided to shift the offices of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences to Ramnagar, the Assembly constituency represented by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy. The project of creating a 'Health City' has also been launched.
Speaking to reporters after the Cabinet meeting, Basavaraj Horatti, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education disclosed that land measuring 300 acres had been identified and approval in principal had been given to start a new medical and a dental college there.
The cost of the project would be Rs. 310.67 crore, he added.
Pharmacy and Nursing College would also be started, he disclosed and added that a hospital with 500 beds capacity would be constructed.
