PLANS TO UPGRADE K.R. HOSPITAL WITH PRIVATE PARTICIPATION
The concerned doctors of K.R. Hospital are contemplating to provide basic amenities in the hospital with the help from private philanthrophists.
The doctors are learnt to have taken this decision because the hospital is not getting enough grants from the Government to provide basic amenities for the patients. Philanthropists
The doctors are said to be contemplating to invite philanthropists to donate ambulance, ventilators, dialysis machines, x-ray and scanning machines, generators, air-conditioners, lenses needed for eyes, life saving medicines, equipment for diabetic and high blood pressure patients and other necessary items needed in the hospital.
It is being contemplated to contact the alumni of Mysore Medical College and Government Ayurvedic College who are serving in foreign countries to request them to provide the needed equipment to K.R. Hospital.
The doctors are also considering to approach religious institutions for help and also software companies.The doctors have come to this decision unable to bear loss of lives of patients in the hospital due to lack of life saving drugs and equipment apart from shortage of expert doctors and other staff.
The final decision will be taken after a meeting of Heads of all Departments in the hospital, including Mysore Medical College Dean Dr. D. Venkatesh and K.R. Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Geetha Avadhani, it is learnt.
The proposal to grant adequate funds to the hospital will also be submitted to the Government. The Casualty Department, operation theatres, ICU, blood bank, burns ward and laboratories in the hospital needs upgradation immediately.
