PATIENT ABANDONED IN K.R. HOSPITAL PARK

In an inhuman act, a patient was abandoned in the K.R. Hospital Park yesterday.

The person, aged about 25 years, who identified himself as Sekhar of Melkote, working in Mandya, said he was admitted to Srirangapatna General Hospital for treatment due to ill health. He was operated upon a number of times. Later, the hospital staff told him that he was being shifted to K.R. Hospital for further treatment. They brought him to K.R. Hospital in an ambulance and dumped him in the Park instead of admitting him to the hospital. The K.R. Hospital staff declined to admit him saying that the records were incorrect.

The public, who saw the suffering patient, brought this to the notice of the hospital doctors.
Later, he was admitted to the hospital following instructions from the RMO Dr. Pullekar.
